The transitional times in my life have been the most freeing, scariest, creative, innovative and challenging seasons ever.

To date my transitional times have been divorce, eviction, lost of homes and personal property, death of love ones and the latest lay-off from my job. I had just decided to stay on my job until I vested in the 401K plan. I only had three years left, but guess what my employer decided to do a budget cut, and my department, was eliminated.

So of course all of these transitions can be devastating, and painful. But this how I handle these real life changes.

I first get quiet and let the spirit of God administer to my soul and spirit. I grieve the lost and give honor to the past. After acknowledgement I surrender the pain. Then I ask God for the lesson so I can become more self aware and wiser. The last step is for me to absorb God's instructions and then go to work with the plan that he has for me, and don't look back.

After divorce I went back to school and got my degree in social work, after eviction I eventually bought a home, after loosing a home, I became a writer and published my first book and wrote a screenplay, after the lost of personal things I became a volunteer, after the death of my parents I created a Life Coaching business.

This last lost I will make a movie about my next book which is a children's book. Transitions might appear like performing without a net. But it could and should be an opportunity to grow and walk through a powerful new path!
